Data Quality Analyst

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document data quality rules, metrics, and thresholds.
• Establish and implement data quality control measures, including data monitoring, validation, and auditing processes.
• Conduct thorough analysis of data to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and errors.
• Develop and execute data quality checks, including data profiling and data cleansing activities.
• Validate data against predefined rules, standards, and business requirements.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, working closely with data owners, other data stewards, and IT teams.
• Identify root causes of data quality problems and recommend process improvements or system enhancements.
• Maintain Customer Master Data workflows (create/update) across the existing MDM Ecosystem using Informatica IDQ and MDM.
• Own enrichment of new customer records within MDM Eco-system.
• Create data dictionaries and taxonomies, defining data standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to data quality issues, resolutions, and best practices.
• Participate in data governance committees or working groups to contribute to data quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data quality requirements and ensure adherence to data governance principles.
• Develop and deliver educational materials, guidelines, and documentation on data quality best practices.

Essential Competencies, Knowledge, Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a Data Quality Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data issues and propose effective solutions.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis software.
• Understanding of data governance principles and data management concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
